Downtown Miami Chophouse Miami is a Met 1 Favorite

Steakhouses across the nation have long battled it out as whose cuisine is really the best of the best.  South Florida is no stranger to the steakhouse restaurant war.  Everyone has a favorite. In Coral Gables alone there are Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Morton’s The Steakhouse, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, and Christy’s Restaurant.  In Brickell and Downtown Miami we have Capital Grille Miami, Morton’s The Steakhouse and in our very own Met 1, Chophouse Miami.

Not surprisingly, we favor Chophouse Miami.  We love dining at this restaurant for lunch. It’s affordable and it offers a unique selection.  On the lighter side the restaurant offers salads starting at $10 and sandwiches and burgers starting at $12.  Steaks start at $18 and then there’s distinctive “New Game in Town” menu selections like Kangaroo Brats ($18) and Bison Hot Dogs ($18), both of which are served with French fries. There’s even the Chef’s Weekly Features, which are all priced at $16. Daily specials from this menu include items like chicken and shrimp jambalaya and 7 oz. beef filet pepper-steak served with rice.

Chophouse Miami’s dinner menu offers similar items in bigger portions and therefore is a little pricier.  Choose from eight different salads, two kinds of soups (lobster bisque and French onion), 10 different cuts of steak, and a variety of seafood, chicken, chops, and of course the signature “New Game in Town” items. And as always, the service is impeccable.

Of course, what would a steakhouse be without a fabulous wine menu? Chophouse Miami’s impressive wine menu boasts over 800 types of wine, champagne and sparkling wine. There is also a wine by the glass menu, which features popular red and white wines as well as champagne and sparkling wines.

Chophouse Miami is even available for events, whether you want to book one of the restaurant’s rooms or the main dining room.  Even if you don’t choose to have your next party at the restaurant, you can join the downtown Miami hot spot for one of Miami’s best happy hours or take advantage of one of the restaurants specials.  This month Chophouse Miami is offering two-for-one steaks to everyone who brings in their ticket stubs from Miami HEAT games.

So, have you tried Chophouse Miami or do you plan on trying it next time you’re in downtown Miami? If not, what’s your favorite Miami steakhouse?
