Downtown Miami Condos are Increasingly Popular and We Know Why

What a long way we’ve come from the days when the market was in a severe slump and doubters worried that downtown Miami would never find occupants to fill its supply of available condos.  In February it was reported that downtown Miami condos reached 85% occupancy and that number is expected to rise.

The convenience of a live, work, play lifestyle is increasingly appealing. Between factors like rising gas prices and the steady flow of new merchants opening in downtown, it makes more sense than ever to make a downtown Miami condo your next home.

In Metropolitan Miami’s own Met One building, we have experienced this trend first hand.  Our sales center is buzzing with people who want to enjoy the downtown Miami lifestyle in one of the area’s most talked about buildings. We have every amenity that a resident could ask for within our own community.  Better yet, there are more magnificent attractions on the way!

Metropolitan Miami is the home of the popular JW Marriott Marquis Miami and Hotel Beaux Arts, world class dining at restaurants like db Bistro Moderne and Chophouse Miami, and the Wells Fargo Center office tower.  The best part is that Metropolitan Miami is getting even better with a Whole Foods Market set to open in Met 3 and a 55,000-square-foot, 12-screen high-end theater on the way in the planned Met Square entertainment complex.

With condo occupancies on the rise, businesses are flocking to downtown Miami. One hot trend is the food truck phenomena.  Miami’s beloved food truck vendors regularly make stops right outside of our building at Bayfront Park. You can almost smell the delectable cuisine from the Met One sales center balcony!

Even long-standing stores are embracing downtown Miami’s vitality.  For example, Macy’s recently announced plans to extend its store hours to accommodate shoppers.

Downtown Miami is an incredible community that shows no signs of slowing down. It seems that each week we discover a new store or restaurant.  Even people who don’t live in the area are embracing the lifestyle and meeting up in downtown to unwind after work or to attend weekend cultural events like the Taste of Brickell.

We may be biased, but in the middle of downtown Miami’s growth, Metropolitan Miami is the star of the show.  In addition to its prime location and unparalleled amenities, the development’s Met One building is getting rave reviews from residents. Just check out our Facebook page and read what our residents are boasting about Met One for yourself.

The live, work, play lifestyle is the future of Miami. We have world-renowned attractions like South Beach and sought after residential neighborhoods like Coral Gables and Bal Harbour.  It is only natural then that the urban way of life found in places like New York City has a home in Miami.  After all, there is no place in the world like Miami.
